When planning a vacation or weekend getaway we always look around the federal and state recognized holidays to help make the most of our time off. Now, this does depend on your employer as not everyone receives these holidays off of work (either paid or non-paid). But for those that do, it is a great way to leverage your vacation days to get more time out of the office.
Instant Offices has a great calendar tool that shows you options on what days to take your vacation that coincides with federal and state holidays. Many of the options they share can result in 9 to 10 days out of the office with minimal use of vacation time. Potentially being out of the office for 10 days straight sounds fabulous to us!
